St. Cloud Nerd Nite on the Rocks, Hemker Zoo, and Milk & Honey Ciders partner to bring you a special Nerd Nite at the cidery.
Nerd Nite is a quirky interdisciplinary presentation series where almost any topic might be discussed. This month, Hemker Zoo is bringing out the animals for a presentation on fur, feathers, and other animal coverings that make each creature unique. And Milk & Honey Ciders will give us a taste of the methods used to create their spectacular hard apple ciders. You get to eat out and have drinks with your friends while our speakers get to “nerd out” on their favorite topic. This special event is going to be lots of fun and you’re guaranteed to learn something new!
From Fur to Feather & All That’s in Between: The Animal Kingdom is a Wile, Wonderful, and Wacky World!
Joan Hemker & Jacqueline Poepping present a wild ride through the animal kingdom, where fur, feathers, and everything in-between come together in a fantastic fusion of fluff and finesse! From the sleek fur of prowling predators to the soft feathers of soaring birds, we’re exploring the diverse coverings that make each creature unique.
A few animals will be will be joining to show off their coverings.

Pour Genius: Unveiling the Art & Science of Cider Making
Co-founder of Milk & Honey Ciders, Peter Gillitzer, will discuss how cider-making experts turn delicious apples into sparkling hard cider.
This special event is from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 6th at Milk & Honey Ciders, 11738 CR-51, Saint Joseph, MN 56374. The cidery is about 15-20 minutes west of St. Cloud.
